Frequently Asked Questions
-
A notary public is an official witness certified by the state. When you sign an important document in front of a notary, they verify your identity, confirm you're signing willingly, and stamp the document to make it legally recognized. Think of it as an official stamp of authenticity that gives your signature extra weight.
-
A mobile notary comes to you — your home, office, hospital room, coffee shop, wherever is most convenient. You don't have to drive anywhere or take time off work. I bring everything I need to complete the appointment on the spot.
-
Lots of situations require notarized documents: buying or selling a home, setting up a power of attorney, dealing with a will or trust, applying for things abroad, or anytime a bank, government agency, or legal office asks for an 'official' signature. If someone told you to 'get it notarized,' I am who you call.
-
Absolutely. This is one of the most important things I do. If a loved one is in the hospital or a care facility and needs to sign legal documents, I will come to them — calmly, respectfully, and with full understanding of how sensitive the situation is.
-
Yes — I can travel just about anywhere. I regularly serve Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Hutto, Taylor, Leander, Liberty Hill, Manor, and surrounding Central Texas communities. Need me somewhere further out? Just call or text and I'll let you know the travel fee for your location. Don't assume I can't make it — I very likely can.
-
Often same day. I am available 7 days a week. Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm, Saturday - Sunday 10am-5pm, and frequently able to accommodate last-minute requests. Before and After-hours appointments are available for an additional fee.
-
Almost always: a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport works great) and the documents that need to be signed.
Most importantly — do NOT sign the documents before I arrive. In most cases I need to witness the actual signing. Check the Services page for a specific list by appointment type.
-
You can have the form completed, just do not sign and date it before I arrive. If your form is already signed and dated before I arrive, it may be invalidated depending on the type of notarial certificate.
The notarial certificates (Jurat) requires the signature be completed in the notary presence. This certificate language usually starts with, “Subscribed and sworn to…”
This is important. The whole point of notarization is that the notary witnesses you signing. If you sign beforehand, the documents may be invalid, and you'll have to start over.
For a document that includes an Acknowledgment certificate, it can be filled out and signed prior to the notary's arrival. This certificate typically contains the phrase, "subscribed to the foregoing instrument and acknowledged to me..."
If you are unsure just hold off signing until I am with you.

There is a 10-minute grace period from your scheduled start time — no penalties if you're a little late within that window. After 10 minutes, a $20 fee applies for every additional 15 minutes of delay.
If I arrive and the appointment cannot be completed for a reason outside of my control — for example, if a signer doesn't have proper ID, the document is incomplete, or a signer is not present — the travel fee of $85 and any witness fees still apply. No notarization fee will be charged in that case.
-
Yes. If you need one or two witnesses and don't have anyone available — or you'd simply prefer to keep your documents private from family or friends — I can provide a professional, neutral witness. Just mention it when you book.

An Apostille is a special certification that makes your U.S. documents officially recognized in other countries. If someone asked you for an 'apostilled' document and you have no idea what that means — just reach out and I will walk you through it.

No — and any notary who does is crossing a legal line. I am not an attorney and cannot tell you what documents you need, what they mean legally, or give legal advice. What I can do is explain what each document does in plain terms during your signing, and make sure everything is executed correctly. For legal advice, you'll need an attorney.
